Got a Question? We’ve got answers.
Not at all! Our courses are tailored to cater to all skill levels—from beginners picking up the guitar for the first time to advanced players looking to enhance their technique.
A classical guitar is often recommended for beginners due to its nylon strings, which are gentler on the fingers. However, any acoustic or electric guitar can be used for starting lessons. The most important thing is a guitar that feels comfortable for you.
Progress can be very individual, but with consistent practice, most students begin to see improvements in their playing within the first few months. Our courses are designed to give you quick wins while also building a strong foundation for ongoing development.
Absolutely! Our online guitar courses are designed to mimic the structure and personal attention you’d receive in-person. Through a combination of video lessons, interactive exercises, and live Q&A sessions, you’ll have the resources to progress at your own pace and the support you need to refine your skills.
Besides your guitar, you’ll want to have a tuner, a metronome (apps are fine), and spare strings. We also recommend having a quiet space where you can practice and participate in online lessons undisturbed.
At Alauda Dulcis, we prioritize creating a constructive, relaxed and fun learning atmosphere. We do not force participation; instead, we first work with the student to understand any underlying issues and encourage their willingness to learn. Our goal is to foster an environment where students feel comfortable and enthusiastic about picking up their instrument when they’re ready.
But, should a student repeatedly show reluctance to play or fail to bring their learning materials to class, we implement a clear and fair warning system. After the first two instances, we communicate with the parents to address the situation. If there’s no improvement and it happens a third time, the student will be unenrolled from our school, with a full refund issued. This policy ensures that we honor the commitment of our students and respect the waitlist of eager learners ready to engage and benefit from the education we provide.
